Norman Reedus Is Getting Claustrophic, Cryogenic In 'Air'

The new apocalyptic movie looks like the stuff nightmares are made of.

It's rare to see Norman Reedus, a.k.a. the Grand High Emperor of Bad-Assness from "The Walking Dead," engaging in anything so undignified as an onscreen panic attack.

So when we tell you that he's having one in this newly-released footage from "Air," you may trust that whatever's happening must be really bad.

io9 has the exclusive clip of the scene, which they refer to as "the most pants-wetting moment" from the film.

Having not seen it ourselves, we can't speak to the "most" part -- but the pants-wetting? Um, yes. Confirm. You go ahead and watch it; we will be right here, putting on a fresh pair of pants.

The movie, which is set in a future where the surface of the Earth has become uninhabitable, stars Reedus and Djimon Hounsou as a pair of maintenance workers charged with the care and keeping of a bunch of cryogenically-frozen scientists in one of several underground facilities.

An official trailer also dropped this week. Check it out below:

"Air" will be available on demand and in select theaters starting tomorrow (August 14.)
