"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is still five months away, but we're already salivating. And now we don't have to salivate alone, thanks to a new essay penned by Grimes for the UK's LOVE magazine.

The "REALiTi" singer throws it wayyyy back, leading off the piece with this sentence: "My name is Grimes and I first came to love Star Wars before I could even walk." She then details her expert knowledge of the original trilogy, having seen it (and all the behind-the-scenes documentaries) as a kid with her dad. She mentions how the film crew used peanut butter on the camera lenses to blur the shots and make the cars appear to be flying.

Yeah, that's how deep her "Star Wars" game goes.

Given that this isn't the first time we've seen the singer dip into her fondness for nerd culture, we decided it was time to round up her best moments doing exactly that. As she told The New York Times in 2012, “I’ve always been such a nerd. I can’t wait to be more ‘Lord of the Rings.’ ”
