Rihanna's already given us some dope cuts this year. From "Bitch Better Have My Money" to "FourFiveSeconds" and "American Oxygen," RiRi's crushing 2015. And on Monday (July 20), we got a glimpse of even more fire from Bad Gal thanks to a revealing tweet from Mike Will Made-It.
The producer's post contains a snippet of a new track featuring Rihanna's vocals, seemingly called "Nothing's Promised." "Ain't none of this sh-t promised," RiRi sings on the track. "Ain't none of it promised / Ain't none of this sh-t certain / Ain't none of it certain."
And the tweet came with a promise that new emoji fire is on the way. Can't wait to hear the full track these two cooked up.
In March, RiRi gave MTV News some hints about what we can expect on her upcoming album. “I’ve made a lot of songs that are really, really big songs,” she teased to us. “From the jump, they just blow up. And I wanted to kind of get back to — not that they weren’t real music, but I just wanted to focus on things that felt real, that felt soulful, that felt forever.
“I wanted songs that I could perform in 15 years; I wanted an album that I could perform in 15 years,” she continued. “Not any songs that were burnt out. I find that when I get on stage now, I don’t want to perform a lot of my songs. They don’t feel like me. So I want to make songs that are timeless.”
