Jeezy Denounces Donald Trump: 'He's Not A Legitimate Candidate'

Jeezy criticized Trump's controversial comments about Mexican immigrants.

Donald Trump will not be getting Jeezy's vote.

The Snowman hit Twitter on Monday (July 20) to criticize the presidential candidate, putting his "hatred" on blast.

He went on say that he believes Trump isn't running for president with good intentions.

And Jeezy - who celebrated Barack Obama with his 2008 single "My President" - also addressed Trump's controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants.

What comments are Jeezy referencing?

Trump spoke about Mexican immigrants during his presidential announcement in June. "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best," he said. "They’re sending people that have lots of problems… They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists."

Backlash has followed.

After those comments aired, companies including NBC cut ties with Trump and his Miss Universe and Miss America pageants. Politicians, fans and celebrities, including Pitbull, also offered feedback. "He found a button that he likes," Pitbull said during an interview with Fusion. "He sees that it got people real mad and hot. And he's gonna keep pushing it."

Trump has since doubled down on his comments. "It's common sense," he said to CNN last month. "They don't want these people so they send them to the United States because the United States is run by stupid people."

Despite the controversy, Trump appears to be thriving. Today, The Washington Post reported that Trump is currently in the lead for the 2016 Republican nomination.
