31 Reasons We'll Miss Hugh Jackman's Wolverine
Time to pour out a frosty brew: as of July 11, Hugh Jackman is officially leaving his decade long tenure as Wolverine in the "X-Men" movies behind after, "One last time."
What form that'll take, we don't yet know -- though the actor strongly hinted during the San Diego Comic-Con panel that it will have something to do with the classic comic book storyline "Old Man Logan." We do know that we'll have to say goodbye some time in the next few years... And we do know we're going to miss the angry canuck more than Logan misses Jean.
Here's every Wolverine moment we'll never forget, before Jackman snikts for the final time.
This casual snikt.
When Wolverine was born.
Looking kind, even with sharp, sharp claws.
Trying to find a place to put out that stogie.
Being the definition of lumbersexual goals.
Basically every RogueVerine moment.
Whenever he popped his claws.
Even when he popped them for the first time.
Because... It hurts every time.
Casually surviving a nuclear blast.
Shaking off a little scratch.
Appreciating the finer things.
Telling Cyclops what we're all thinking.
Telling all of us what we're ALL thinking.
This is a really good scene, just saying.
No, not Taylor Kitsch's beautiful face!
Remember when he got that crick out of his neck? Good times.
Oh, also his solution to back pain was revelatory.
When Wolverine was the cover of a romance novel.
Bullets can't stop him.
Tough guys don't look at explosions.
He throws serious Xavier shade.
He throws serious Viper shade.
He throws serious Xavier AND Magneto shade.
He even throws a little side-eye.
Don't forget about costume shade.
He looks good even when fighting a big old cyborg.
Jeanverine...
Seriously.
Now and forever...
Oh, one last thing:
We'll miss you, Hugh.
