Taylor Swift Just Caused Another Major Company To Change Its Policy

Slay, Tay, slay.

When she's not selling albums faster than any other artist in a decade and filling out entire arenas on tour, Taylor Swift spends her downtime changing the world, one company at a time.

Last time it was Apple Music, which decided to shift its plan in response to her open letter criticizing their intent to withhold royalties from artists during the company's three-month trial period. Sort of a David vs. Goliath sitch -- if David were a multi-platinum recording artist with 60 million Twitter followers.

And this time, it's the popular crowdsourcing site GoFundMe make a Swift shift.

Per People, the site is now raising its donation limits from $15,000 to $50,000 as a direct result of a donation Taylor Swift made to one of her fans earlier this week.

If you haven't already had your heart warmed by the story, here's what happened in a nutshell: An 11-year-old fan named Naomi was diagnosed with leukemia and due to treatment plans will be unable to attend Taylor's upcoming show in Phoenix, Arizona. Somehow Taylor got wind of the story and decided to take matters into her own hands, donating $50,000 to the brave gal and writing "There will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better."

At the time, GoFundMe had a $15,000 cap on individual donations through the site, so Swiftie had to submit four times. Not the biggest obstacle in the world, by any means, but one nonetheless. So, the site decided to go ahead and follow her lead and have that number increased from $15k to $50k because Taylor Swift.

GoFundMe CEO Rob Solomon gave T-Swizzle all the cred, saying that her "donation was so generous that it required us to increase the donation limit on the platform. What Ms. Swift has done for Naomi and others can inspire the next generation of giving."

Moral of the story: Someone put a cape on Tay already because she is our HERO.
