The Lady 'Ghostbusters' Uniform Is Totally Unsexy And That's A Good Thing

You can't bust ghosts with a boob window.

We've had a peek already at the brand-new "Ghostbusters" jumpsuit, all racked up and ready to go, but thanks to a new pic from the set, now we can see how it looks on the body of at least one actual Ghostbuster.

An image dropped today of Melissa McCarthy, just casually kicking around in her official uniform (albeit missing the all-important proton pack, which seems awfully risky under the circumstances. How's she gonna bust ghosts without it?)

Vulture tweeted out the full-length shot, in which it should also be noted that McCarthy is wearing a seriously cool pair of specs.

But the greatest thing about the "Ghostbusters" uniform, apart from the squealy excitement we feel at spotting a real lady Ghostbuster in the spirit-infested wild, is that it's exactly as sexy as the outfits worn by the original Ghostbusters in the very first movie.

Which is to say, not sexy at all.

On one hand, it's not exactly a surprise to see our heroines in utilitarian jumpsuits. Paul Feig has a great track record as a director of female casts; he's not exactly the type to sex up the Ghostbusters just because they happen to have lady bodies.

Still, when most women superheroes aren't allowed to kick ass unless it's in a skintight spandex outfit (or worse, a leotard with a boob window), it's nice to know that these spirit exterminators will be keeping us safe in appropriately comfy workwear.
