Diddy Issues A Statement In Response To UCLA Assault Charges

Diddy doesn't sound too worried about it.

Diddy is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting a football coach at UCLA, where his son Justin Combs plays defensive back. And on Tuesday, June 23, he issued a statement via Revolt, in response to the incident.

"The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate," the statement reads. "What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son. We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed."

The music mogul reportedly had a dispute with one of UCLA's assistant coaches, Sal Alosi, for yelling at his son during a training session, but the details of what happened are still unclear.

UCLA addressed the incident on their website, writing, "Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating."

Diddy is now facing three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats and one count of battery, according to UCLA.
