It looks like Nicki Minaj is having a ball on the set of "Barbershop 3." On Wednesday (Jun. 10), the rapper discussed her role in the upcoming Ice Cube film with a post on Instagram.

"I love this cast, crew and director," Minaj said. "This movie will be an instant classic! Can't wait for you guys to see it."

In her post, the star also tagged Cube, Eve, Malcolm Lee and Cedric The Entertainer. But she highlighted one of her co-stars, Regina Hall, with some kind words.

"Regina is my new play aunt," she said. "I'm in love with her. So sweet and cute and funny. She's a Sag like me so we're always having convos about signs and relationships."

According to another post by Minaj, the film is "coming early next year."

The rap star has been on a quest to further showcase her on-screen skills for some time. Last year, the Pink Print MC spoke with MTV News about her acting goals.

"I am going on auditions and I'm trying to find the right role with the right director and the right writers," she said. "I want to be a part of something that I see from the beginning stage this time."
