We've loved every single '80s-tastic image we've seen come from the set of "X-Men: Apocalypse," but one burning question still remains: will all of our dreams come true and will Storm's punk-rock mohawk from the comics finally make an appearance on the big screen?
Get excited, mutant fans, because it's starting to look like it TOTALLY will.
First we became suspicious when Alexandra Shipp started showing up in public rocking a big hair-covering hat:
And then we got even more excited when this concept art from Empire Magazine's July Superhero Special surfaced online, which shows us a little tiny version of Storm that's definitely wearing the iconic 'do.
THEN, a pic from Singer's Instagram yesterday had us reeling when our suspicions were all but confirmed. Alexandra Shipp is definitely rocking a bald head:
OH MY GOD. No one let me near a razor for the next, hmmmmmmm, maybe ever, because Shipp looks so amazing that it's giving me terrible ideas.
But we're guessing that this STILL is probably not her final "X-Men" look, because the stubble on her head hasn't been dyed Storm's trademark shade of white. Which means there's only one logical explanation as to why she shaved it all off in the first place (other than that it looks rad, of course): to put a big honkin' mohawk hairpiece on top.
Now the only thing left is for Bryan Singer to let the punk rock, weather-dominating cat out of the bag with an official pic. One can only imagine that when he does, it will be glorious.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
