Time to learn how to read, everyone! Our imaginary BFF, Mindy Kaling, just revealed the cover for her next book, a follow-up to her memoir "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" She also dropped its release date, a page that we've immediately marked with a flurry of hot pink exclamation points in our planners.

So what day will we be going into full hermit mode to devour "Why Not Me?" in one sitting? That would be September 29. So. Soon. (But obviously not soon enough.)

The authoress, who is also the star and showrunner of "The Mindy Project," took to Twitter to show off the cover of the new book.

The book's synopsis is also live on the actress' website. The sure-to-be-hilarious essays will chronicle Mindy's life since 2011. We're going to hear about her relationships (including, yes, some B.J. Novak scoop), her weight (more like the media's obsession with it), and her life in Hollywood, among other topics.

"Mindy turns the anxieties, the glamour, and the celebrations of her second coming-of-age into a laugh-out-loud funny collection of essays that anyone who’s ever been at a turning point in their life or career can relate to," the synopsis reads. "And those who’ve never been at a turning point can skip to the parts where she talks about meeting Bradley Cooper."
