'Twin Peaks’ Stars Start Campaign To Save Their Show

Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like a log without bark.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the hit cult television show "Twin Peaks," but fans probably don't feel much like celebrating given Showtime's recent decision to continue plans for a series revival without showrunner David Lynch. The former "Twin Peaks" co-creator and showrunner announced over Twitter this weekend that he'd dropped out of the revival due to problems with the budget.

But the citizens of "Twin Peaks" -- that is, the cast of the original series -- are not going to take this lying down! Mädchen E. Amick, whom you might remember as Double R Diner waitress Shelly Johnson, posted a video on Facebook and Whosay last night along with the following note:

The video features Amick and her co-stars Sheryl Lee (the infamous Laura Palmer herself), Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne) Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs, Laura's boyfriend), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Moran), Catherine E. Coulson (The Log Lady), Al Strobel (MIKE the one-armed man), and many others, lamenting David Lynch's departure with clever in-jokes about what "Twin Peaks" without him would be like. Jennifer Chambers Lynch, the daughter of David Lynch and author of the book "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer," makes an appearance as well.

Amick also links to an official cast run Facebook page, which as of writing already has over 7,000 followers and counting. Will you be one of them?
