Ever heard of Brooklyn rapper DonMonique? Me neither. That is, I hadn't until I watched her viral hit video "Pilates (Kendall, Kylie, Miley)." Now, I can't get that tinkering beat out of my head, and I'm just praying that the weekend comes a little bit faster.
"Pilates (Kendall, Kylie, Miley)" is currently garnering lots of attention for the 20-year-old rapper who calls East New York home. To be honest, it's easy to see why. Not only does the song name check plenty of famous faces (the aforementioned ladies plus Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and more), but its sparse, minimal style is subtle in all the right ways.
"I can make the work stretch," DonMonique coos, per the track's earworm hook. It's addictive stuff. Plus, the accompanying video clip-- a real Brooklyn rager if I've ever seen one-- makes "Pilates" the perfect Friday night anthem.
