Listen up Directioners: the rumors about former One Direction member Zayn Malik’s solo project might be true.
The proof, as they say, is in the tweets— or retweets, in this case.
Producer Naughty Boy retweeted a video that mashes up Zayn and Naughty for the moniker “Zaughty.”
In the clip, the words “Naughty Boy saved my life. Zaughty will rise” scrolls repeatedly.
Louis Tomlinson did not like Naughty’s use of the retweet button, posting his own message at the producer about being inconsiderate.
Tomlinson believed the RT was a ploy to rile up the fans.
According to Naughty, though, the real story will reveal itself in time.
Malik parted ways with the band on March 25 after leaving the On The Road Again Tour due to “stress.”
“My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band,” Malik said. “I’d like to apologise to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.”
