After a packed few years in which Miles Teller:
a) played (in no particular order) a drumming prodigy, a teenage boozehound, a Dauntless initiate, a snowbound bro and a reluctant dancer
b) meandered across the screen wearing nothing but a strategically placed sock, and
c) just committed to playing a superhero for as long as the "Fantastic Four" franchise will have him...
...You'd think that the poor guy would look at his schedule and think a well-deserved break was in order.
Nope. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the very busy actor is adding yet another project to his very full roster for the next three years: A film adaptation of the non-fiction work, "The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang."
The movie will tell the true story of Paddy Mitchell, Lionel Wright and Stephen Reid, a.k.a. the Stopwatch Gang, who robbed an estimated 100 banks in the U.S. and Canada in the 1980s. (The trio's leader sported a stopwatch around his neck to time their heists, which were ruthlessly, efficiently planned to get them in and out in under two minutes.)
There's no news on which member of the gang Teller will be playing, although it's a fair guess that he'll have the biggest and bossest of the three roles, considering what a big deal he's become lately. In fact, Miles Teller might have to wear a stopwatch around his neck to keep track of all the umpteen million movies he's signed up for until 2017. Here's the full rundown of his upcoming appearances.
"The Divergent Series: Insurgent"
Miles will be back on screen this month, reprising his role as Peter, the jerk antagonist in the dystopian franchise.
"Get a Job"
Slated for release sometime this year, this movie stars Miles along with Anna Kendrick and Bryan Cranston, in a comedy about recent graduates struggling to find gainful employment.
"Bleed for This"
Also happening in 2015: Miles Teller will star in this inspirational biopic about boxer Vinny Pazienza, who made an astonishing comeback after an accident that derailed his career.
"The Fantastic Four"
The most hotly-anticipated of Miles' upcoming films, this reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise will hit theaters in August, starring the actor as Mr. Fantastic.
"Arms and the Dudes"
Slated for 2016, Teller stars opposite Jonah Hill in this movie based on a true story of two Miami Beach bros who become arms dealers for the U.S. government.
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Part 1"
Although he isn't officially on the roster for the wrap-up to the "Divergent" franchise, those who've read the books know that (spoiler alert!) we could reasonably expect to see Miles in the first of two movies based on "Allegiant."
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant, Part 2"
We could also reasonably expect to see him in the second one.
"The Fantastic Four 2"
The only thing known about this movie is its release date (June 2, 2017) and its core cast members, including Miles Teller, but that's enough to put it on the list.
