Jordin Sparks Wants You To 'Double Tap' Her Selfies In New Video: Watch

Jordin parties with 2 Chainz and seduces a Jason Derulo lookalike in her new video for 'Double Tap.'

There are plenty of awesome songs that give shout-outs to the wonders of Instagram — like Fifth Harmony's "Reflection" and Nas' "Daughters" — but leave it to Jordin Sparks to whip up an all-out anthem to everyone’s fave app.

“Double Tap” was one of the stand-out tracks from Sparks’ mixtape #ByeFelicia, released in November 2014. Fans were instantly won over by the song’s witty lyrics (remember, guys, “tap” can mean a lot of things…) and 2 Chainz’s memorable verse.

Now, Sparks has given the track some super sultry treatment with a new video released Tuesday (March 10). In the clip, she floods her page with sexy selfies and dares a guy (who looks a lot like her ex-fiancee, Jason Derulo; just sayin’) to double tap her pics.

Sparks recently explained to Yahoo Music, “For me in the song, the girl is talking to the guy saying, ‘I know you stalk my page. I know you look at the photos. I know that you don’t like them. I bet you’re not going to like that picture, but I know you like me.’

“But then you can take it another way as well, like you’re in a relationship with someone,” she continued. “Say we’re sitting next to each other. Say we’re together, right? I’m scrolling through my phone, and I hover over a picture of a really hot guy, and you’re like, ‘I know you’re not about to tap that picture. I know you’re not about to double-tap that picture in front of me.’”

The track and its accompanying video are definitely a far cry from her past hits like “Battlefield” and “No Air,” and we’re definitely loving this confident, sultry side of Sparks.

The 25-year-old is currently prepping her new album, Right Here, Right Now, her first since 2009’s Battlefield.
