They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, but what about an emoji?

We asked "The DUFF" stars Mae Whitman and Robbie Amell to describe their new movie using only emojis, and things got emotional fast.

"I'm like, very tense because emojis are very important to me," Whitman, who displayed her alien emoji tattoo, said.

The two got stuck on one particular crustacean emoji, though, and we all learned something new about it. That shrimp isn't just a shrimp -- it's a coconut shrimp. Lesson learned.
