See James Bond Back In Action In This First Look At 'SPECTRE'

Behold! The Mountain that spies!

James Bond goes wherever the action takes him — and in the case of "SPECTRE," the action is taking him to the top of the world.

Sony just released the first footage from director Sam Mendes' "SPECTRE," the 24th James Bond film, once again featuring Daniel Craig in the role of the shaken-not-stirred spy. The behind-the-scenes clip focuses on the creation of one of the biggest action scenes in the movie — a "jewel in the crown," as it were — featuring Bond battling bad guys on top of a snow-covered mountain in Austria.

"The thing Sam and I talked about was, how do we top 'Skyfall'? [The answer] is going to be 'SPECTRE,'" said production designer Dennis Gassner. "So far, it's a good start. I think we're going to continue the history of the Bond films and making things that are exciting for audiences just to look at. What can be more exciting than to be on top of the world?"

Sony's also released the first image and plot details from "SPECTRE." Check 'em out:
