Diplo Takes Shots At Taylor Swift Fans: 'They're The Worst People In The World'

The great Diplo/Swiftie feud rages on.

Uh oh, looks like Diplo decided to rekindle that old beef with Taylor Swift (and her loyal BFF Lorde) that got him in so much trouble last fall.

It all started when Diplo tweeted that someone should kickstart Taylor Swift a booty. Now, Diplo has been dating Katy Perry, the target of Swift's menacingly, delightful "Mean Girl"-channeling anthem "Bad Blood," so, that he felt the need to attack Tay Tay in response to this makes a little sense.

But not to Lorde, who dutifully assume her role as razor-tongued precocious #teen and came to Swift's rescue with a shot at Diplo's, uh, size:

Soooo after that happened, things pretty much died down. Swift never really addressed the issue and it kind of faded into the background, until Diplo decided to bring it up again in a recent interview with GQ:

"It sucks for me, because now I have to not be as crazy as I am on the internet," he told the magazine. "Which totally sucks, because it's not going to be fun anymore. But the repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It's really bizarre, and disgusting. They're the worst people in the world. And I'm a pretty big fan. But they're like 'I wish your kids had Down syndrome.'"

"They're so evil," he continued. "I dissed Lady Gaga before, and the gays were never even this mean. They're funny. These people are like mean-spirited, evil human beings. I'm not a politician. I shouldn't have to be under the microscope for people like that. [Taylor] has like 40 million Twitter fans. Forty million! Yeah. It's crazy. I'm a fan though."

Okay, so making fun of a female musician's body doesn't mean Diplo should be getting death threats, but was he not expecting a backlash after that kind of sexist prodding? People tend to say terrible things on the internet, and nothing justifies threatening someone's life ever but cyber bullying pretty much never leads to anything good—Diplo is a grown man and should know that by now.

He went on to admit that he's "scared" of Taylor, and that he *spooky voice* "knows secrets about her:

"Her powers—she's big. She's strong, bro. Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies. And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And she's definitely, there's definitely scary stuff going on. And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life."

Hmmm, it almost seems like Diplo regrets the rude comments he made about Taylor? Maybe he could try apologizing? Then he wouldn't have to be so scared, at least.

What do you think about the situation? Let us know in the comments.
