The "Hills" ladies haven't been shy about dramatically changing it up in the hair department recently: Between Lauren Conrad's "first haircut in years" -- the end result being a long bob -- and Kristin Cavallari reverting to her "Laguna Beach" 'do, the erstwhile MTV stars haven't held back when it comes to lopping off their locks. Now, Audrina Patridge is the latest gal from the Tinseltown crew to opt for a major makeover, except her new style is far from a big-time chop: It's all about a brand-new color. And no, it ain't your average platinum blond...

"Hair transformation!!:)" the former brunette playfully tweeted, along with the snapshot above of her strands covered in lots of foils and a link to her website. So what was the end result?

A beautiful silvery and pastel purple combination! As for how the "1st Look" host achieved this fresh shade, her hair guru Briana Cisneros explains that it took eight hours to transform Drina's coiffe into "smokey pastel silver, with a champagne blonde and light powdery lilac."

We're certainly CRAZY about it -- it's sort of reminding us of LC's lavender April Fools tease -- but how is Audrina liking her 2015 tresses?

"I have been wanting to do something fun and different with my hair -- I decided to go all out!" she wrote, adding that she "loves" the latest trend that stars -- including Zosia Mamet -- have opted for this winter season.
