Given "Titanic's" status as a full-blown pop culture phenomenon, it's surprising that it's taken Weird Al this long to take a stab at it.

However, Mr. Yankovic finally did just that when he stepped behind the camera to direct Hanson's new video for the track "River" [2MB QuickTime] from Hanson's "Three Car Garage" album.

In the video, Weird Al tackles the role of Bill Paxton's modern-day underwater scavenger, and "Titanic" star Gloria Stuart revisits her role, only this time around she is a devout follower of the Hanson boys. Instead of flashing back to the tale of the doomed ship, she regales Weird Al with stories of Hanson's early days. The clip should be turning up on MTV soon.

In addition to his own twisted clips, Weird Al also lensed a video for the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion song "Wail" last year.
