Louis Tomlinson’s Mother Has Died From Cancer At 43

Johannah Deakin passed away after a battle with leukemia

Louis Tomlinson's mother, Johannah Deakin, has died after a battle with cancer. She was 43.

The Sun reports that Deakin passed away early Wednesday morning (December 7). She had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia earlier this year.

Deakin is survived by her seven children, her grandson Freddie, and her husband Dan, whom she married with Louis by her side in 2015.

"Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself," Deakin's husband wrote in a statement. "She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy. ... I thoroughly loved walking through life with her, and though five years was far too short a time, during that time we had so many lifetimes worth of happiness, adventures, and memories."

Friday morning, Tomlinson's former One Direction bandmate Zayn, current bandmates Liam Payne and Niall Horan, and mentor Simon Cowell offered their condolences on Twitter.
