Has James Bond #24 Found Its New Villain?

Early reports say that Christopher Waltz will join the cast.

The name’s Waltz...Christoph Waltz.

That’s right 007 fans, the two-time Oscar-winner has apparently signed on to be the central villain in James Bond #24.

The confirmation comes from The Daily Mail, who are known for actually having a great track record when it comes to reporting new Bond news. According to The Mail, the “True Crimes” star will join the Sam Mendes film, which begins production next month. The source revealed that the Bond 24 script doesn’t specify whether or not the Austria-born actor will be a friend or foe of Daniel Craig’s Bond, but does describe the character as an “extremely cunning nemesis.”

Sounds exactly like a character meant for Waltz, who played similar roles in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” and “Django Unchained” respectively with award-winning effectiveness.

Unfortunately, this means that Waltz won't be in Tarantino's western "Hateful Eight," which starts production at the same time as Mendes' "Skyfall" follow-up.

Craig's co-stars Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes will return for #24, while Dave Bautista (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) and Léa Seydoux (“Blue is the Warmest Color”) join the cast as they begin shooting in Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Austria and London.

James Bond #24 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 6, 2015.
