Alicia Keys Will Perform At The 2014 MTV EMA, Plus 6 More Must-See Things Tonight

Tune in Sunday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV!

Not fully prepared for the 2014 MTV EMA? Don't worry about it -- no mortal is. Besides, we've got you covered with this handy EMA cheat sheet below. Review all 7 must-see items, and you won't miss a beat of tonight's show, broadcast from the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland.

1. Alicia Keys Will Perform

That's right, the most on-fire girl this side of Katniss Everdeen has been added to the roster of 2014 EMA performers. What kind of emotional reaction will she bring forth from viewers like you? Probably an extreme one -- but tune in tonight to find out for sure.

2. 1D, 5SOS & 5H Go Head 2 Head

One Direction, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Fifth Harmony are all nominated for Worldwide Act. Voting's still open, by the way, which means that I better not see any Directioners, 5SOS Fam or Harmonizers going out and, like, "enjoying the day" before tonight's broadcast. You've still got a couple more thousand ballots to cast.

Not only will Nicki Minaj host the 2014 EMA, she's going to perform at the damn thing, too. Remember how ~scandalous her past performances have been? Well, this time she won't have American broadcast standards to contend with.

4. Ariana Grande Will Perform, Too

The "Love Me Harder" singer will take to the EMA stage tonight, and she'll be bringing all of her vocals upon vocals upon vocals with her. But, what about Ari's signature cat ears? And her mechanized "Break Free" rocket boobs? So much remains to be seen.

5. And Ed Sheeran

Maximum Sheerio overload in 5, 4, 3, 2...

6. And Also Literally Everyone Else Ever

Neon Gold/Atlantic Records

Joining Alicia, Nicki, Ariana and Ed in Glasgow are fellow performers U2, Charli XCX, Kiesza, Royal Blood and Enrique Iglesias. Get excited.

7. And It All Kicks Off With Nick Jonas' Face

American viewers will get an exclusive 2014 EMA kickoff hosted live from Miami's Klipsch Amphitheater by Nick Cannon, Molly Tarlov and Jake Miller. Nick Jonas will perform "Jealous" at the event, and Fifth Harmony and Jake Miller will hit the stage, too. See you soon!
