There's A New Aaliyah Biopic Trailer, And -- Wait, Is That Iggy Azalea?

'There's gonna be nobody like her.'

A new trailer for Lifetime's upcoming Aaliyah biopic, "Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B," has hit the Internet, and it features an unexpected cameo from one Iggy Azalea.

A musical cameo, that is. The Australian rapper's "Goddess," off of her New Classic debut, soundtracks the preview, which premiered on E! News on Wednesday (October 1). The song selection makes sense -- the late Aaliyah Haughton was more than a woman, after all.

The trailer opens with a vision of Aaliyah's mother counseling the rising star, played by Alexandra Shipp. "It takes more than some hot producer to create a superstar," actress Rachael Crawford says. "It takes the right artist."

"Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B" premieres November 15 on Lifetime.

Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman was originally cast to portray the R&B superstar, but she dropped out shortly after production began. She told MTV News that she "just felt the project wasn’t 100 percent there" and cited other moral conflicts.
