Last weekend, Common debuted the remix of "Kingdom," during a performance at the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards, and he performed it the following day at the AAHH! festival in Chicago, as well. Jay Electronica and Vince Staples joined him for both sets, and now he's officially released the remix.

The original song appeared on his July album Nobody's Smiling, and the revamped version features moving verses from both Jay Elect and Vince. The song was performed in conjunction with a moving tribute to Mike Brown at the Bet Hip Hop Awards. The slain teen's parents joined the rappers on stage for a moment of silence, with hands up in the air.
