Peter Dinklage has entered into the rare category of actors whom I'm also interested to see. The guy just doesn't phone it in, and there's usually something interesting about how he takes on a role, even if the movie around him kind of sucks.
Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case with "The Thicket," a developing project that has Dinklage attached (via The Hollywood Reporter).
"The Thicket" is a crime thriller based on a book of the same name by Joe R. Lansdale. The story follows a young man named Jack Parker, who must go after a band of outlaws after they kill his grandfather and kidnap his sister.
To help him, Jack recruits a ragtag group of Western characters, including Shorty (Dinklage), a bounty hunter. Yes, that's right. Peter Dinklage is going to play a turn-of-the-century bounty hunter. That last sentence alone is enough to sell me on a movie.
This is still a developing project with no director or writer attached, so it can disappear pretty much at any time. Let's just hope this one actually sees the light of day with Dinklage as an Old West gunslinger.
