Jim Carrey Set To Host 'Saturday Night Live' This Season

Actor's 'SNL' gig to coincide with release of 'Dumb and Dumber To.'

Get ready to laugh your ass off again, “Saturday Night Live” fans.

According to The Wrap, funny man Jim Carrey is coming back to host “SNL” for the third time.

The former "In Living Color" star will hit the Studio 8H stage with the rest of the cast early this season to promote his upcoming movie, "Dumb and Dumber To," , the sequel to 1994’s cult classic "Dumb and Dumber" will hit theaters on November 14.

Carrey, who starred in “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and “Kick-Ass 2,” hosted the late-night sketch comedy show back in 1996 and most recently in 2011.

"SNL" will kick off its 40th season on September 27 with host Chris Pratt, who catapulted himself to bonafide movie star as the lead in Marvel’s breakout hit, “Guardians of the Galaxy."
