The Roots Rapped About 'Harry Potter' And It Was Magical

Accio a beat!

The Roots are no strangers to viral music hits, with Black Simon and Garfunkel and their cover of "Let It Go" with Idina Menzel, just to name a couple.

So it comes as no surprise that they did a rap about "Harry Potter," and even less of a surprise that it's magnificent.

Here's how it happened: a fan wrote in to "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" asking for them to combine the "Harry Potter" theme and rap music. Luckily, Tariq of The Roots is a huge Potterhead, and was more than up for the challenge.

The next minute is, well, magic. With a beat that takes some musical cues from the Potter theme, Tariq raps the story of the boy wizard. The best line (aside from the entire thing)? "Harry was humbled more in the presence of Dumbledore/But mention Voldemort and it makes him want to rumble more."

But describing it can only do so much. Take a look for yourself, and find yourself wishing the song could be longer than 45 seconds.
