You may already be familiar with the story of "Begin Again," the latest movie from "Once" director Jay Carney. The first trailer was released in May, and showcased the romance of Gretta (Keira Knightley) and Dan (Mark Ruffalo), two musicians who team up to make sweet music all over New York City.
The newest trailer, however, gives us a better look at Adam Levine's role, and voice in the film. The real-life rock star doesn't have to go too far out of his comfort zone to play the guitar slinging Dave, Knightley's original boyfriend (who at times sports an impressive amount of facial hair). The second trailer also spotlights Levine's new acoustic track "Lost Stars" as he sings onstage and in the studio, growing distant from Knightley and her own ambitions for the mic.
While the two part ways to yes, "begin again," each singer is showcased in their journey: unsurprisingly Maroon 5 frontman Levine sang and played guitar for his part, but turns out Knightley also knows how to hit a tune.
Be on the look-out for Levine's "The Voice" co-judge, CeeLo Green, who makes a cameo toward the end.
"Begin Again" hits theaters July 11.
