Ever had one of those days where nothing you say seems to come out right, and you can't seem to pronounce the simplest word -- or fan-christened portmanteau?

Then you have something in common with "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" star Josh Hutcherson. Except it's safe to say that your blush-inducing stutter didn't happen on the red carpet of one of the year's most anticipated premieres. Oops.

Hutcherson, who returns as Peeta in the second installment of the immensely popular "Hunger Games" franchise, caught up with MTV News' Josh Horowitz on the red carpet of the film's L.A. premiere, where he couldn't quite wrap his tongue around the fan name for his character's relationship with Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss, commonly known as Peetniss.

Maybe that "t" got lost on the Southern California winds, but we certainly couldn't hear it. Check out the clip to judge for yourself, and let us know what you think -- we're just telling you what we heard.

Hutcherson recovered nicely, suggesting the somewhat strong "Jennoshifer" for a potential pairing between himself and Lawrence.

He also dished on stepping into the arena for a second time in "Catching Fire," this time with a new director. "Hunger Games" director Gary Ross chose not to return for the second installment in the series, citing concerns about the production time. "I Am Legend" director Francis Lawrence stepped into the leadership role, and has also committed to directing the two final films in the series, "Mockingjay" parts one and two.

"I was scared to lose Gary. He did so much for us and I felt so comfortable with him," Hutcherson said of the transition. His worry, however, was unfounded. "I met Francis and right away he showed so much strength."

As for the finale of the franchise, when Hutcherson and Co. will be free of the arena and battling the tyrannical President Snow through the streets of the Capitol, Hutcherson said fans should expect "a lot more epic kind of action-y stuff."
