'The Voice' Recap: Coaches Get 'Stupid Picky'

Matt Cermanski and Michael Lynch landed some of the last remaining spots on coaches' teams as blind auditions came to an end.

"The Voice" blind auditions are winding down. With only a few spots left on coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green's teams, the dynamic foursome were being "stupid picky" about hitting the big red button.

Here are some of who caught their eye:

Second Time's A Charm

They say third time's a charm, but in Matt Cermanski's case, his second time on the "Voice" stage got him three chair turns versus none during his first go, when he sang Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream." "That's why we didn't pick you, because it was weird," Levine told the 20-year-old rocker who won the male coaches' hearts this season with his soft-rock rendition of "Have A Little Faith in Me." While Shelton commended his "versatility," Levine took note of Cermanski's "resilience," and that seemed to mean something to the returning singer who took a spot on Team Adam.

1+1=Winning

Church has been a big part of Tamara Chauniece's life. The 23-year-old Texan has spent years singing in the venue, finally taking a chance on her dream to take her music to the big leagues. Taking on Beyoncé's "1+1," Chauniece's strong but pretty voice captured Xtina and Green's attention early on. "You touched my heart," Aguilera said, as Green connected with the songstress because both their parents were ministers. Although she couldn't persuade Green to take the side of God, she did follow her gut and choose the soul man as her mentor.

Grey Skies

Grey has been all about the music. A Berklee College of Music graduate, the 25-year-old singer has been sharing her talents in the wedding scene. With aspirations to achieve more, Grey took her skills to the "Voice." Levine, Shelton and Green all turned around for the "Catch My Breath" singer and a serious war of words continued, but only after Shelton's chair glitched, turning him back from Grey. "You did this, didn't you?" Shelton accused Levine. "Maybe I missed out," Aguilera chimed in after the debacle, but Grey settled on Team Adam.

White's Got Might

You would never expect an "Irish white boy" to be so enamored with Latin culture and music as Michael Lynch was. The Chicago native surprised all the coaches when he performed a "rhythmic" and "fun" rendition of Enrique Iglesias' "Bailamos." The gushing ensued with Aguilera comparing his tone to Michael Jackson, Shelton doting on his pitch, and Green praising him overall. "I can't speak Spanish, I can't dance salsa, I can't do any of that crap but I can win this show!" Shelton tried to tell Lynch who was wooed over by Xtina. To prove it was a "match made in heaven," the pop star danced salsa with her new team member and sang a duet. What a moment.

As blind auditions came to a close, the show teased upcoming sessions with the guest mentors: Miguel, Ed Sheeran, Cher and Ryan Tedder. "The Voice" returns Tuesday night (October 8) to take a look at some of its most memorable auditions so far.
