'Arrested Development' Star Jeffrey Tambor Talks The 'Miracle' Of Season Four

George Sr. himself opens up to MTV News about show's new season, kicking off May 26.

"Arrested Development" fans are counting down the days until the Bluth family returns on May 26. And given all the anticipation surrounding the first season in seven years, even the smallest details are highly valued.

Unfortunately, George Sr. himself, Jeffrey Tambor, can't utter a single hint about the show's fifteen-episode run on Netflix. "You think I can tell you? I can't. We have such a spoiler alert and I actually signed something, so I can't," he told MTV News. And while he remains mum on plot details, he was more open about the fans' excitement for the reunion.

"It's bigger than I thought, but you know we've always been the little engine that could," he said. "I was the cheerleader. I had little pom poms and everything, a nice little skirt. You know, it changed my life. It wasn't hard to do. There was all these things about Michael Cera not wanting to do it] and none of that is true. Everybody was excited. And the first night we all got back was a very interesting night. People were cheering. All nine of us got into a room that was a bit of a miracle. We were canceled and now we're back."

Fans are getting an early taste of the new season thanks to a collection of character posters and a brand-new clip.

Even seven years later, fans will notice the magic is still there. In the brand-new c;o[, Lucille forces Buster to take in the smoke from her cigarette, since her building has a strict no-smoking policy and her ankle monitor won't let her walk to the balcony. Tambor explained it didn't take long to pick up where they left off.

"It took about 30 minutes and then it was there," he said of hitting the set again, recalling one of the first scenes they filmed. "And the scene was all nine of us and we were all very happy. It was great. I love those guys."

He continued, "[Fans will] be more than pleased. I was just talking to [Netflix's Chief Content Officer] Ted [Sarandos] and he said it just looks great. And I'll know; I'm going to see it in a couple weeks."

The entire season will hit Netflix on May 26 right at 12:01 a.m. PT. The new season will also welcome a myriad of cameos from folks like Ben Stiller (who will return as magician Tony Wonder), Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Conan O'Brien, Isla Fisher, and John Slattery.

So, in the end, is there anything Tambor can reveal? "I really don't know and I'm not going to tell you. Just watch it, all fifteen."
