Meet Jamie Foxx's Movie Awards Date: Daughter Corinne Bishop

MTV Generation Award winner shared the spotlight with his 19-year-old at Sunday night's show.

When Jamie Foxx took to the MTV Movie Awards stage on Sunday to accept his Generation Award, he was more than happy to share the moment with his pretty young date: 19-year-old daughter Corinne Bishop.

The actor extolled Bishop's beauty, asking that she did "dial it down a bit on that dress," which elicited an eye roll from the teen.

"You know I have to put her in the spotlight, that's what daddies do," Foxx told MTV News' Josh Horowitz later backstage. "I'm just so happy to have her here. I'll catch a little bit of it later."

Bishop has been something of an awards-season fixture, accompanying the "Django Unchained" star to the Academy Awards and the NAACP Image Awards, as well as the Weinstein Company's Golden Globe Awards afterparty.

Here's what you need to know about the Hollywood offspring:

She's Carrying on the Family Name

Corinne took Foxx's real last name (he was born Eric Marlon Bishop), though she does use the name Corinne Foxx as her Twitter handle.

She's Single

Despite discussing his daughter's long-time boyfriend ("she picked a cool dude") late last year on an episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," Foxx confirmed onstage at the Movie Awards that she is indeed a free agent. Line forms here, boys.

She's Got Spirit

Bishop put her background in gymnastics and dance to good use during her senior year at Sierra Canyon High School, joining the school's newly formed cheerleading troupe. She posed for the cover of American Cheerleader Magazine in 2011.

She's a Belieber

"Oh my God, Justin Bieber," she gushed to American Cheerleader. "I totally have Bieber fever." She's also a fan of Taylor Swift, Adele, Drake, Lil Wayne and the TV show "Girls."

She's a Beauty and a Brain

Bishop's been hitting the books as a student at the University of Southern California, where she's expected to graduate in 2016.
