They took over pop culture in 2012 by having two #1 albums, a host of awards including three Video Music Awards and being named MTV's Best Artist of 2012. They are, of course One Direction.

Yet, in their long list of accomplishments, there is one thing they didn't check off their to-do list in 2012. Sure, they hooked up with Ed Sheeran for Take Me Home, but when MTV News caught up with the guys at Z100's annual Jingle Ball concert in New York, we wondered who they would want to link up with if they could pick just one from the night's lineup.

"I think Jason Mraz is amazing," Harry Styles said. "His voice is amazing and when you listen to him it's just kind of happy."

Liam Payne added, "I'm liking his new beard look as well. It's good, I'm a fan of the beard."

Well, good news for One Direction, because when MTV News told Mraz of their request, he seemed to be on board.

"They are one direction into my heart, that's the direction they're headed right now, into my heart," Mraz said. "I saw them coming together on 'X Factor' a while ago and admired what it is they had to do to become who they are as a band. ... It really takes a lot of humility to share the spotlight like that. And they've got great voices, great attitudes, yeah I would consider it."
