Grammys 'Blew It' With Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun Rants

'This time he deserved to be recognized,' Schoolboy Records mogul tweets shortly after Bieber received zero Grammy nods.

While his Schoolboy Records team wasn't completely snubbed when it came to this year's [article id="1698416"]Grammy nominations[/article], Scooter Braun thinks one of his artists deserves something. The music mogul went off on Twitter late Wednesday sharing his shock and surprise at the apparent snub Justin Bieber received in the wake of the just-announced nominees.

Bieber dropped Believe back in June, and neither the album nor any of its singles received a nod from the Recording Academy. Braun made it clear that he was pleased that Carly Rae Jepsen and her track "Call Me Maybe" got two nods. Fellow Schoolboy Records acts, the Wanted and Psy, also didn't receive any nominations, but Braun focused his frustration on Bieber.

He wrote, "first...congrats to @carlyraejepsen . thought u deserved a best new artist nom, but proud Call Me Maybe got u 2 noms. so proud of u. second....this time there wont be any wise words, no excuses, I just plain DISAGREE. The kid deserved it. Grammy board u blew it on this one. the hardest thing to do is transition, keep the train moving. the kid delivered. Huge succesful album, sold out tour, and won people over... ...this time he deserved to be recognized and I dont really have any kind nice positive things to say about a decision i dont agree with."

But he wasn't entirely negative, sharing kind words for the nominees, even those he doesn't manage. "So to all those nominated...you do deserve it," he added. " You worked hard and u earned it. Just feel like so did JB. To his fans...looks like we get to stay the underdog a little longer. #BRINGIT. I got a lot more I can say but for now....Im gonna leave it at that. Congrats to all those who got nominated including our own CRJ. life is long, with many ups and downs, but we get to keep going, everyday brings a new opportunity. NOTHING GREAT EVER CAME EASY."

While Bieber has remained one of the biggest pop acts over the last few years, a Grammy Award has remained out of his reach. He was nominated for two -- Best Pop Vocal Album for My World 2.0 and Best New Artist -- in 2011. He lost both and quite famously gave up [article id="1657878"]Best New Artist to Esperanza Spalding[/article].

After the loss, Bieber told MTV News, "I had no clue what was going to happen; I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I'm not going to lie -- I was disappointed," Bieber said. "But, you know, I'm gonna come back [next year] and we'll take a few home." (To note, he wasn't nominated the following year.)

Bieber hasn't been shy about sharing how badly he wants a Grammy. On [article id="1697874"]"Oprah's Next Chapter,"[/article] which aired just last month, he shared it was one of the few things he still dreams about, saying, "That would be really cool if I could win that."

As for this year's snub, Bieber has yet to comment on it, but did reveal on Twitter that he is back in the studio working on something. Perhaps he's angling for a Grammy nomination or two next year.
