Diddy Lines Up 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' Gig

Music mogul will reportedly appear on show's eighth season, kicking off next month on FX.

The "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" crew might want to stock some Cîroc at Paddy's Pub: Sean "Diddy" Combs is set to make a cameo on the upcoming eighth season of the show.

The rapper, mogul and actor was slated to tape his cameo on the kooky FX sitcom Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A rep for the show hadn't responded to MTV News' request for further information by press time. While Diddy has been tweeting since the news broke, he has made no mention about the show.

Additional details about his role on the show had yet to be released. No word yet on when Diddy's episode will air, but the new season of "Always Sunny" is set to kick off October 11.

The rapper is hardly a newcomer to the small screen, but his previous cameos were a bit more dramatic, previously appearing on the CBS crime dramas "Hawaii Five-0" and "CSI: Miami." He did, however, flex his funny bone in the 2010 big-screen comedy "Get Him to the Greek."

In addition to "Always Sunny," Diddy is set to make his return to film. He has been attached to the drama "Shoedog," which also stars Heather Graham, Sam Shepard and Kris Kristofferson. It's been two years since Diddy dropped new music. In 2010, he released Last Train to Paris with his Dirty Money crew.

He may not have put out music in two years, but earlier this year, Diddy topped Forbes' list of hip-hop's wealthiest artists, thanks to an estimated net worth of $550 million.
