Justin Bieber's 'Baby,' 'Bed Intruder Song' Most-Watched 2010 YouTube Videos

Users around the world pressed the play button on Auto-Tune the News and Antoine Dodson and Bieber's viral gems millions of times.

This year, when it came to staving off boredom on the Internet, people around the world turned to two videos: Justin Bieber's "Baby" and Auto-Tune the News aka the Gregory Brothers' "Bed Intruder Song." "Baby" was named the most-watched music video on YouTube, while "Bed Intruder" was dubbed the most watched video in the US and around the world.

Bieber's YouTube dominance is not that surprising considering the kid took over many corners of the Internet in 2010, sparring with Lady Gaga for Twitter followers and picking up three percent of all of the website's traffic. Add that to the sold-out shows, platinum certifications and global outbreak of Bieber fever, and it makes sense that "Baby," which at press time had over 408 million views, topped the list of most-watched YouTube music videos.

In a year of double rainbows and annoying oranges, one meme reigned supreme: "Bed Intruder Song." The Gregory Brothers, who often revamp clips with Auto-Tuned vocals, saw a potential hit in Antoine Dodson's sassy interview with a Huntsville, Alabama NBC affiliate about stopping the attempted rape of his sister. The bouncy track even landed on iTunes and garnered Dodson instant fame. Even Hayley Williams, New Found Glory and Reliant K gave the digital smash a punk-rock treatment.

Other major-label music videos that scored tons of clicks on the user-generated content site are Shakira featuring Freshlyground "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" which was #2 and Rihanna's "Rude Boy" at #5. Eminem showed up twice with "Love the Way You Lie" and "Not Afraid" at #3 and #4, respectively. Bieber has four visuals total on the list, with "Never Say Never" at #6, "Never Let You Go" at 7 and "Somebody to Love (Remix)" with Usher at #9. Gaga's "Alejandro" was #8 and her romp with Beyoncé, "Telephone," landed at #10.

The most-watched YouTube videos worldwide included a parody of Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" by Key of Awe$ome #13, Greyson Chance singing Gaga's "Paparazzi," Annoying Orange "Wazzup," "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" trailer and Hungrybear9562's emotional "Yosemitebear Mountain Giant Double Rainbow 1-8-10."

"The most-watched YouTube videos of 2010 reflect the people, places and events that captured our attention and imagination throughout the year," YouTube Community Manager Mia Quagliarello said in a statement. "YouTube has become the world's town square — a place where culture is created and shared. It's a sign of YouTube's growing importance as a platform for content creation that six of the top 10 most-watched videos globally were made-for-YouTube originals."
