'This Is It' Proves Michael Jackson Was The 'Greatest,' Lou Ferrigno Says

The 'Incredible Hulk' star was training MJ for his string of comeback shows.

[artist id="1102"]Michael Jackson[/artist]'s longtime friend and trainer, Lou Ferrigno, was one of the many familiar faces that went to the [article id="1624941"]Los Angeles premiere of "Michael Jackson's This Is It."[/article] Ferrigno had been training Jackson for the concerts, set to be held at London's O2 arena beginning in July. TV's Incredible Hulk had nothing but accolades for the flick.

"Great movie. I think it was wonderful," he told MTV News after he screened the film at the Nokia Theatre.

Ferrigno and Michael first worked together 15 years before and had maintained a friendship over the years when he came back to train the pop icon for the This Is It shows. "He was so entertaining, and his passion for music touched you more than most other singers," Ferrigno added. "I think he's the greatest."

Ferrigno had a lighthearted demeanor at the film's premiere, joking around and dancing like Jackson. "Just like this," he said, mimicking Jackson's classic dance moves with a shrug of his shoulders. "And grabbing his crotch and everything. That's still on the stage."

In June, only a short time before Jackson's death, Ferrigno had announced that he was working with Jackson on the shows. In a statement to People, Ferrigno's wife, Carla, said, "Lou and Michael have known each other for a long time. Lou first trained Michael 15 years ago."

After Jackson died, Ferrigno told People how shocked he was. "I was devastated. I mean, I was shocked. I still think of it as like a joke or like a dream," he said. "He heard I was in the running to do 'Dancing with the Stars,' so he said that he would teach me the Moonwalk if I did the show. We had a lot of fun."
