Rosario Dawson, Michelle Monaghan Cast In Shia LaBeouf's Next Flick With 'Disturbia' Director

D.J. Caruso exclusively reveals news about 'Eagle Eye,' terrorist thriller from the mind of Steven Spielberg.

LOS ANGELES -- Sorry girls -- the search for Shia LaBeouf's latest leading lady has ended.

"Disturbia" director D.J. Caruso revealed exclusively to MTV News that Michelle Monaghan and Rosario Dawson will join the "Indiana Jones IV" star in Caruso's "Eagle Eye," a thriller from the mind of Steven Spielberg about a young man (LaBeouf) and a single mother (Monaghan) framed as terrorists and forced to join a group with plans to kill a political figure.

"I met with Rosario the other day, so we're adding her and [Michelle]," Caruso enthused at the release party for the "Disturbia" DVD. "We're putting together a really cool cast, so I'm excited about that."

Representatives for Monaghan confirmed that the 31-year-old "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" star will play the female lead, a single mother with a 4-year-old who goes on the run with LaBeouf. Of Dawson, Caruso would only say that "she is going to play a character named Zoey."

Regardless of the roles, Dawson and Monaghan have plenty to look forward to, LaBeouf said.

"D.J. Caruso is still the greatest director I've ever worked with. I've had the most fun with him," the 21-year-old gushed to MTV News at the red-carpet premiere of "Transformers" in late June (see [article id="1563706"]"Tyrese, Busta Rhymes, More Geek Out On 'Transformers' Premiere Red Carpet"[/article]). "We're going to try to make a good movie with the little family that we've built."

Caruso's Hollywood stock has skyrocketed since "Disturbia," but "Eagle Eye" was a case of right place, right time -- and right friends, a very excited Caruso confessed.

"It was an original Steven [Spielberg] idea that he was developing at Dreamworks for about eight or 10 years," the 42-year-old director explained. "When he started 'Indiana Jones 4,' he still wanted to make the movie and said, 'Would you be interested in doing this?' I read it and loved it. I'm working now with [screenwriter] Hillary Seitz on doing a rewrite."

Caruso will begin filming "Eagle Eye" when LaBeouf becomes available after shooting wraps on "Indy 4" (see [article id="1563198"]" 'Indiana Jones 4' Pic Shows A Bruised And Bloody Harrison Ford"[/article]).
