Chevelle, Taproot, 30 Seconds To Mars Map Out Summer Tour
The hard-riffing brothers Loeffler -- otherwise known as Chevelle -- will be spending much of this summer not in their native Chicago but on a bus, rocking their way across America with aggro-rock stalwarts Taproot and Jared Leto's 30 Seconds to Mars in tow.
Chevelle, still riding high on the success of their single "The Clincher" (see "Chevelle Get Poles Shoved Through Their Chests For 'Clincher' "), have spent the majority of 2005 on the road in support of their latest disc, This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In), released in September. The band closed out each night of the SnoCore Tour earlier this year, which was followed by a headlining jaunt.
Both Taproot and 30 Seconds to Mars have new albums on the way: Taproot's Blue Sky Research, which features contributions from Billy Corgan and Gratitude/ Far frontman Jonah Matranga, hits stores on August 16, the same day as 30 Seconds to Mars' sophomore release, A Beautiful Lie.
Chevelle's rock-and-roll train pulls into Indianapolis, on July 9 and will make stops in Detroit, Atlanta, New York, Boston and Philadelphia before rolling to a stop in Columbia, Missouri, on August 17.
