Eminem, Nine Inch Nails Tapped To Perform At MTV Movie Awards

Diesel, Knoxville, Lohan, Alba and more confirmed as presenters for June 9 broadcast.

The nominees are set, the presenters are in place, and now the lineup of performers for the 2005 MTV Movie Awards is starting to take shape, with Eminem and Nine Inch Nails the first two musical acts confirmed for the June ceremony.

Eminem will perform his single "Ass Like That" for the first time on TV during the June 4 taping of the show, while Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails will roll out the band's current single, "The Hand That Feeds," from NIN's first album release in half a decade, With Teeth.

Confirmed presenters at this year's awards show include Hilary Swank, Vin Diesel, Jessica Simpson, Johnny Knoxville, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and a slew of other notables from the worlds of music, movies and the small screen.

As for this year's nominees, Will Ferrell's manic satire "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" and Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams' sharp high-school flick "Mean Girls" lead the scramble with four nominations apiece (see [article id="1501233"]"Vicious Teens And Happy Drunk Lead 2005 MTV Movie Awards Nominees"[/article]). Ferrell was also singled out as a nominee for Best Comedic Performance for his portrayal of bumbling, scotch-loving antihero Ron Burgundy, while McAdams is up for a golden popcorn bucket in the high-profile Best Kiss category for her make-out skills in "The Notebook."
