'Catwoman' star will voice a 'bot in the upcoming animated film 'Robots.'

No bodysuits necessary for Halle Berry's next role. She'll follow "Catwoman" with "Robots," an animated feature co-starring Ewan McGregor, Amanda Bynes, Drew Carey, Jamie Kennedy and D.L. Hughley, among others. "It's about this robot named Rodney who's ... been put together by scrap parts, so he doesn't feel that good about himself," Berry explained. "And he comes into this town and my character and all the characters around are these shiny beautiful robots and they're made from beautiful parts. It's sort of that age-old story of trying to discover who you really are and it's not about what you look like, but it's really about what's inside." "Robots," due in March, will mark Chris Wedge's follow-up to "Ice Age." "It's a really sweet story, as all of those movies are," Berry added. ...

Lindsay Lohan, already attached to "Fashionistas," has signed on for another movie based in the fashion world, this one co-starring Nick Cannon. The still-untitled romantic comedy will feature the "Mean Girls" star as a woman trying to break into the New York fashion business who is set up on a blind date with Cannon's character, who is blind. Cannon came up with the premise, which Tom Brady ("The Hot Chick") will script and direct. Adam Sandler is co-producing. ... Val Kilmer, who voiced Moses in 1998's animated "The Prince of Egypt," will play Moses again in a stage production of "The Ten Commandments." The musical will open at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on September 18. ...

After two years of dating, Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal have broken up. "They remain very close still and are the best of friends," Dunst's spokesperson said in statement. The actress, who is due in "Wimbledon" later this year, is in talks to star in "American Princess," about an English peasant in the 1700s who dreams of being a princess but is sent to America as an indentured servant. ...

"Shark Tale," the highly anticipated animated comedy featuring the voices of Will Smith, Jack Black, Renée Zellweger, Robert De Niro and Angelina Jolie, will make its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 9-18. The film opens nationwide October 1. ... Russell Crowe is in negotiations to star in the big-screen adaptation of the novel "Eucalyptus" by fellow Australian Murray Bail. Jocelyn Moorhouse, who directed Crowe in 1991's "Proof," is helming the film. ...

Reese Witherspoon is in talks to join Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth in "Rapunzel: Unbraided," an animated retelling of the classic fairytale. The "Legally Blonde" star would play a girl who is thrust into Rapunzel's world. Witherspoon has signed on for several other films in the past few months, including "Manhattan Baby," a comedy about a single New Yorker who sacrifices her career to become a baby-play-group mogul, and "The Reckoning," a thriller about a photojournalist who follows a part-military, part-civilian team to Cambodia to recover the remains of lost soldiers. ...

Ben Affleck has dropped out of "Glory Road," a drama based on the true story of college basketball coach Don Haskins, who led his all-black Texas Western team to the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship in 1966. The trades are reporting Josh Lucas ("Hulk") is being considered, although he has yet to be confirmed for the movie, which will film in August with Jerry Bruckheimer producing. ... And in other dropout news, Joe Carnahan ("Narc") has walked away from directing "Mission: Impossible 3" due to "creative differences." Producers are rushing to find a replacement because the movie, starring Tom Cruise, Scarlett Johansson and Carrie-Anne Moss, is scheduled to shoot next month. ...

Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston will play the parents of a boy attending a high school for kids with superpowers in "Sky High."
