After staging contests around the country to pick emerging talent for opening slots on her next tour, Jewel has announced the first leg of that tour, as well as her opening acts.
Jewel's upcoming trek will feature the winners of her Soul City Cafe contest, Anne Heaton and the Susan Greenbaum Band, both of whom are closer to the singer's folksy sounds on her earlier work than her glossy makeover on the dance-beat-driven album 0304 (see [article id="1471736"]"Jewel Bites Into A Musical Pickle-And-Peanut Butter Sandwich" [/article]).
The first leg of Jewel's tour kicks off on September 19 in North Charleston, South Carolina, and wraps October 18 in Minneapolis, focusing mainly on cities in the East and Midwest.
