"Identity" ended the two-week reign of "Anger Management" at the box office over the weekend, debuting at #1 with $17 million. Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler's big-screen team-up was #2 with $16 million. "Anger Management" has made a total of $104.5 million, according to studio estimates.

Despite playing in less than 1,900 theaters, while "Identity," by comparison, was available in almost 2,800, "Confidence" was the weekend's second-highest debut with $4.7 million. The Kirk and Michael Douglas-led "It Runs in the Family" opened at #9 with $3 million, while Spring Break reality movie "The Real Cancun" was #10 during its first weekend of release with just $2.3 million.

Last week's biggest debut, "Holes," fell one spot to #3 with $13 million. While it's still no "Harry Potter," the children's-book-turned-Disney-flick has made $36.8 million total. Jamie Kennedy's "Malibu's Most Wanted" was #4 with $7.7 million, for a two-week $24.2 million total, while "Bulletproof Monk" landed at #6 with $4.6 million. Featuring the martial-arts talents of Seann William Scott ("American Pie") and Hong Kong action star Chow Yun-Fat (see [article id="1471356"]"Seann William Scott An Action Star? 'Stifler' Gets Serious"[/article]), "Monk" has made $19.1 million in its two weeks of release.

The rest of the weekend's top 10 includes "What a Girl Wants" at #7 with $3.3 million ($32.9 million, four weeks) and Colin Farrell's "Phone Booth" at #8 with $3.1 million ($40.2 million, four weeks).

Queen Latifah's "Bringing Down the House" fell from the top 10 for the first time in its eight-week run, landing at #11 with $2.1 million for a $126.1 million total, while "Chicago" was #12 with $1.6 million. The Oscar-winning musical (see [article id="1470713"]" 'Chicago' Dances Away With Six Oscars; Eminem's Will Be Mailed To Him"[/article]) has raked in over $163.5 million in the last 18 weeks.
