Cold Set Up Headlining Tour, Are Tapped For Lollapalooza, Staind Jaunts

Trek supports Cold's third LP, Year of the Spider, due out May 13.

A few weeks on the road will preface Cold's Year of the Spider.

Having wrapped a club tour in early March, the Jacksonville, Florida, quintet has lined up at least a dozen headlining dates and a handful of radio festivals beginning April 13 in Indianapolis, according to an Interscope Records spokesperson. Confirmed dates run through the Chicago's WZZN-FM radio festival on May 3. Additional dates are expected to follow.

The trek will support Cold's third LP, Year of the Spider, which now carries a May 13 street date. The follow-up to 2000's 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage was previously scheduled for an April 29 release. A video for the album's first single, "Stupid Girl," was shot earlier this month by director Marc Webb (3 Doors Down, Good Charlotte) (see [article id="1470327"]"Cold Pair Up With Weezer Frontman For 'Stupid Girl,' Battle Giant Spiders"[/article]).

After topping the marquee on their own tour, Cold will serve as undercard entertainment for Staind's upcoming outing. Staind will be touring in support of their fourth album, 14 Shades of Grey, due May 20 (see [article id="1470447"]"New Staind LP Marked By Grey Matters"[/article]).

Although dates have yet to be announced, Cold have also been tapped for the second and third legs of Lollapalooza, whose first leg will feature Jane's Addiction, Audioslave and the Donnas beginning July 3 in Grand Rapids, Michigan (see [article id="1470598"]"Lollapalooza Tour Dates Announced"[/article]).

Cold also recently reunited with onetime mentor Fred Durst, who's credited with their discovery, to record "Check Please" for an upcoming soundtrack (see [article id="1470677"]"Fred Durst Says 'Check Please' And Reunites With Cold"[/article]).
