The net worth of the Family Values tour has just depreciated, as five of the hard-rocking trek's dates have been canceled.
Concerts scheduled for Houston (November 7); San Antonio, Texas (November 9); North Little Rock, Arkansas (November 10); Oklahoma City (November 11); and Las Vegas (November 14) will not be rescheduled, according to a publicist for the tour.
The cancellations caused a rerouting of the trek, and the tour will now hit Anaheim, California, on November 10; Phoenix on November 11; and Sacramento, California, on November 14, the publicist said.
A post on the official Family Values Web site cited "circumstances beyond our control." Organizers did not return calls by press time.
The 2001 incarnation of the Family Values tour which began in 1998 and was held again in '99 kicked off Thursday in Cleveland with headliners Stone Temple Pilots, Staind, Linkin Park, Static-X and Spike 1000. (For a report of Friday's Rosemont, Illinois, show, see "Stone Temple Pilots Slam Rap Rockers At Family Values Stop.") Deadsy will take over Spike 1000's opening slot beginning Thursday in Washington, D.C.
The outing, which wraps up November 17 in Tacoma, Washington, continues Monday (October 15) in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
