Dixie Chicks To Unveil New Song On Tribute Show

'I Believe in Love' written by Natalie Maines, Martie Seidel, Marty Stuart.

The Dixie Chicks will debut a new song called "I Believe in Love" on "America: A Tribute to Heroes," a star-studded benefit special airing on major television networks and many cable outlets Friday evening.

Bandmembers Natalie Maines and Martie Seidel wrote the song with Marty Stuart prior to the September 11 terrorist attacks. Friday's telecast will raise funds for victims of the tragedy.

"We are participating in this event because, like everyone else, we want and need to do whatever we can to help," the Dixie Chicks said in a statement. "It's easy and important to send money, but something inside just makes you want to do more. This tribute telethon is a great opportunity to help raise millions of dollars, say thanks to the men and women who put their lives on the line for us, and to be a part of this amazing coming together of our nation."

"America: A Tribute to Heroes" will air live at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, and tape-delayed in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.
