Tha Liks, Black Thought Join Dilated Peoples' Team

Follow-up to The Platform due October 23.

Dilated Peoples have finished recording their second album with a who's-who of underground hip-hop producers, including DJ Premier, ?uestlove and the Alchemist.

Expansion Team, due October 23, also features some guest MCs, including the Roots' Black Thought on "Hard Hitters" and Tha Liks on "Heavy Rotation," according to the group's label publicist.

The hip-hop trio of Rakaa, Evidence and Babu will release "Worst Comes to Worst" as the first single from the album.

Dilated Peoples' follow-up to 2000's The Platform was produced by Evidence and Babu, along with their special guests. DJ Premier (Gang Starr, Limp Bizkit) produced "Clockwork," ?uestlove (the Roots, D'Angelo) produced "War" and the Alchemist (Big Punisher, Everlast) produced "Worst Comes to Worst," "Panic" and "Live on Stage."

Other guest producers include Joey Chavez (Aceyalone), Juju (Beatnuts) and Da Beatminerz (Bahamadia).

The California group will promote Expansion Team on a European tour with Linkin Park set to begin September 11 in Hamburg, Germany, followed by a headlining tour of North America in October. Dates will be announced soon.
