Roots rocker Edwin McCain is gearing up to release his fourth album and mount a two-month U.S club tour that kicks off May 3 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The album, Far From Over (not to be confused with the Frank Stallone single of the same name from the 1983 John Travolta turkey, "Staying Alive"), was recorded at Willie Nelson's Luck, Texas, studio and is set for a June 19 release, according to Atlantic Records. Shawn Colvin lends harmony vocals to the disc's first single, "Hearts Fall," due May 7.
Far From Over will try to recapture the platinum success of 1997's Misguided Roses, which included the hit love song "I'll Be." McCain's 1999 release, Messenger, went gold.
